DESCRIPTION:The Andreae lab is interested in how synaptic connections and 
 neuronal circuits are formed during development\, and how these processes 
 may be disrupted in neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism\, epilepsy
  and schizophrenia. They use a variety of approaches\, including electroph
 ysiology and advanced imaging techniques\, to investigate how neuronal act
 ivity regulates early synapse formation and to further our understanding o
 f the mechanisms that lead to alterations in neural circuit development an
 d function in genetic models of neurodevelopmental disorders.\n\nThe talk 
 will be followed by a reception with drinks in the tea room\, C floor\, Ph
