DESCRIPTION:Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) is a severe hormone-bas
ed mood disorder. It causes debilitating psychological symptoms in the lut
eal phase of the menstrual cycle. The majority of people with PMDD experie
 nce suicidal ideation\, 1 in 2 self-harm and 1 in 3 will attempt suicide.
Despite its severity it remains an under-researched and under-diagnosed mo
od disorder. Lynsay’s talk will give an overview of PMDD\, and the resea
rch priorities identified from the UK’s first PMDD research agenda (avai
 lable from pmddresearch.com/researchagenda).\n
