DESCRIPTION:Chemical looping in redox operating schemes as a platform tech
 nology is a manifestation of the interplay among key elements of metal oxi
 de reaction engineering and particle science and technology.  Its concept 
 of applications has been recognized for more than 100 years as a valuable 
 means in the synthesis of fuels and chemicals in industries. There are\, h
 owever\, no chemical looping processes in commercial operations. This pres
 entation will highlight the major advances made in recent years toward the
  readiness of this technology commercialization for CO2 emission control a
 nd production of clean energy and chemicals
