DESCRIPTION:Flavour deconstruction assumes that the SM is embedded into an
  extended gauge symmetry that contains a separate gauge factor for each fe
 rmion family\, with the SM Higgs doublet originating from the third family
  gauge factor. This framework allows to understand the possible origin of 
 hierarchies in the flavour structure of the SM\, and provides a very rich 
 phenomenology if the extended symmetry is broken spontaneously at relative
 ly low energies. I will illustrate flavour deconstruction via simple botto
 m-up models based on the tri-hypercharge gauge symmetry. Then I will discu
 ss the possible gauge unification of this class of theories.
