DESCRIPTION:Data-driven supply chains of interconnected systems and servic
es are now a primary mechanism by which centralised (cloud-based) computin
g resources are distributed and a common architectural form for applicatio
ns. They have also become a primary means by which major technologies comp
anies seek to enclose and restructure social and economic life\, extract v
alue\, and concentrate power. As a result\, while generally invisible to a
pplication users\, supply chains are now key infrastructures in informatio
n societies. This talk will explore some of the difficult governance and a
 ccountability questions this raises.
