DESCRIPTION:Deviations from the central limit theorem in nonequilibrium st
ates of matter can follow divergent paths. While ordered active matter is
notoriously characterized by giant density fluctuations\, the onset of irr
eversibility through a nonequilibrium absorbing phase transition can suppr
ess these fluctuations\, resulting in hyperuniform states. In this work\,
we introduce a minimal model to study the interplay between these two seem
ingly incompatible phenomena. We demonstrate that when nematic order and a
n absorbing phase transition occur simultaneously\, the resulting density
fluctuations exhibit a novel crossover between enhancement and suppression
\, emerging at different length scales. \n
