DESCRIPTION:Since the collapse of the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s the a
 rea of the former country has been ripe for archaeological investigations.
  Whilst Serbia and Croatia have seen the majority of this attention\, ther
 e has been\na recent shift towards fieldwork in northern Bosnia. This rese
 arch falls into the category. Working with a team from Cambridge and Leice
 ster as well\nas Bosnian archaeologists from the Museum of the Republic Sr
 pska and the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina\, Sarajevo\, the on
 going research\naims to take a geoarchaeological and artifactual perspecti
 ve on the prehistory of the region. The aim here is to eventually describe
  and place archaeological sites in their wider environmental and geographi
 cal\nlandscapes\, whilst staying mindful of the localised\, site specific 
 nature of the project.
