  Practitioner Series allows students to hear from and ask questions of hig
 h-level experts working in international politics\, journalism\, developme
 nt and humanitarianism.\n\nCome join us for an exciting event at the Aliso
 n Richard Building\, Room S1 where we will be hosting Dr. Matthew Gillett 
 for our CGHR Practitioner Series. Matthew is a Senior Lecturer at the Univ
 ersity of Essex and a United Nations Special Mandate Holder (Chair-Rapport
 eur of the Working Group on Arbitrary Detention). Previously\, he worked f
 or around 15 years prosecuting international crimes cases in the Hague. He
  writes on Ecocide\, Human Rights\, Speech Crimes\, and International Crim
 inal Law. In 2022\, he published his monograph "Prosecuting Environmental 
 Harm before the International Criminal Court" (CUP)\, and has won multiple
  awards for his research.\n\nThis in person event will provide a unique op
 portunity to meet and learn from Matthew. Don't miss out on this opportuni
