DESCRIPTION:After an ultrashort introduction to the anyon models used for 
 describing topological phases in two space dimension\, I will discuss phas
 e transitions between such phases\, caused by the condensation of a bosoni
 c quasiparticle. I will show how one may obtain the anyon\nspectrum and th
 e topological interactions of condensed phases using methods resembling th
 ose used for symmetry breaking phase transitions. If time permits I will a
 lso discuss systems with phase separation and applications to anyonic syst
 ems which arise in the fractional quantum\nHall effect.\n\n
