DESCRIPTION:Novel reactivities of organoboron compounds have been identifi
 ed as a source for creating new chemical spaces with functional value. Pre
 viously uncharted approaches of activation including\, non-covalent intera
 ctions\, electrochemical redox processes\, and photoexcitation have been e
 xploited for the functionalization of organoboron compounds. Combined expe
 rimental and computational studies provide insight into the fundamental un
 derstanding of the process. Special emphasis of the research program has b
 een devoted to the formation of products with stereochemically-enriched C(
