DESCRIPTION:Schramm and Sheffield introduced the notion of height gap for
the continuum Gaussian free field (GFF) in dimension 2. It turns out that
this height gap has a natural interpretation through clusters of Brownian
loops arising in Brownian loop soups representations of the GFF. By consid
ering different intensity parameters 0<c<=1 for Brownian loop soups\, one
can get a whole family of fields with a height gap for each value of c. In
the limit c goes to 0\, one gets the height gap for the occupation field
of a single Brownian trajectory. In this case\, the explicit value of the
height gap can be identified\, and it equals 5 over pi. This is a joint wo
rk with Antoine Jégo and Wei Qian.
