DESCRIPTION:I will review recent progress in understanding the cosmologica
 l evolution of interacting string networks\, like those produced at the en
 d of the inflationary phase in brane inflation models.  Emphasis will be g
 iven to analytic models for network evolution\, taking into account the ef
 fects of extra dimensions\, quantum intercommutation probabilities\, strin
 g junctions and kinematic constraints.\n
