DESCRIPTION:Digital technologies are gaining considerable attention in the
design\, implementation\, and monitoring of scalable restoration initiati
ves. Notwithstanding\, there are questions about the capabilities and effe
ctiveness of these evolving tools\, particularly regarding what they highl
ight or obscure and who benefits or is excluded. This talk draws on partic
 ipatory socio-ecological mapping\, integrating high-resolution\, multi-spe
ctral imagery (dronescapes) with gendered workshops to go beyond the senso
 r. It illuminates the rich stories\, traditions\, and practices that are o
verlooked but are essential if restoration efforts are to be equitable and
effective in ways that serve the needs of those who matter the most but r
emain largely marginalised in discussions about scalable restoration.\n\nT
