DESCRIPTION:In this talk I will discuss recent results on the geometry of 
 constant\nmean curvature (H \\neq 0) surfaces embedded in R^3^.\nAmong oth
 er things\nI will prove radius and curvature estimates for simply-connecte
 d\, constant\nmean curvature surfaces embedded in R^3^. \nIt follows from 
 the radius estimate\nthat the only complete\, simply-connected\, constant 
 mean\ncurvature surface embedded in R^3^ is the round sphere. This is join
 t\nwork with Bill Meeks.
