DESCRIPTION:Everyone Welcome\n\nAn inequality has long existed between chi
 ldren with what has historically been termed dyslexia and children who hav
 e general learning difficulties in addition to poor reading.  This talk in
 troduces the low IQ poor reader and suggests factors which may underlie po
 or phonology in this group. Data from a two year longitudinal project inve
 stigating an auditory deficit hypothesis in children 8-12 will be presente
 d.
