DESCRIPTION:It has been said that Israel is an ideal place for storyteller
 s\, especially for comic stories: There is never shortage of dramatic even
 ts\, to say the least. Violence\, absurdity\, and the grotesque are part o
 f everyday life\, and the most distant history is constantly present at ev
 ery moment in the immediate present. In my lecture\, I will survey comic s
 tories from thirty years of work\, in which place and time are the main pr
 otagonists alongside the human characters who inhabit them. I will speak a
 bout real personal and cultural events\, from which the stories emerged\, 
 about the uniqueness of comics as a medium\, and about the working method 
 I developed for storytelling and drawing\, which are an integral part of t
 he narrative and its meaning.
