DESCRIPTION:I will introduce equivariantly enriched enumerative geometry\,
  which seeks to use equivariant homotopy theory to enrich classical enumer
 ative results under the presence of a finite group action. This talk will
 cover a high-level overview\, joint work with Kirsten Wickelgren defining
 a local degree in stable equivariant homotopy theory\, and an application
 to counting rational curves equivariantly. Time permitting\, I will discus
 s joint work in progress with a number of people (Kirsten Wickelgren\, Ste
 phen McKean\, and Charanya Ravi) on more examples of equivariant enumerati
 ve results. This talk will not assume prior knowledge of classical enumera
 tive geometry.&nbsp\;
