DESCRIPTION:How does the brain develop? This talk will introduce the advan
tages of the zebrafish retina as our chosen model to address this question
. Using functional gene manipulations and live 4D imaging\, we have begun\
nto unravel mechanisms involved in this highly dynamic process. The talk f
ocuses on the movements and divisions of progenitors and the final severan
ce of attachments that allows immature cells to assume their final neural
 morphology.\n
