DESCRIPTION:This one-day conference will consist of talks\, posters\, and 
 discussions bringing together those working on hazard\, risk\, and related
  topics across the university. Lunch\, tea\, coffee\, and snacks will be p
 rovided.\n\nWe invite presentations from people working on all aspects of 
 hazard and risk\, in particular:\n- Understanding the processes\, frequenc
 y\, and distribution of natural hazards.\n- Evaluating the perception and 
 impact of disasters.\n- Monitoring or modelling the physical processes of 
 natural hazards and multihazard chains.\n- Technology-based (e.g. early wa
 rning systems) or social/community-based approaches to mitigating risk.\n-
  Cross-sector risk studies.\n\nAbstract submission and registration are av

  registration is due by 05 May.\n \nWe will broadcast the presentations fr
