DESCRIPTION:Professor Elden of Durham University originally studied as a p
 olitical historian\, but quickly became interested in the philosophy and s
 patiality of political theory. His research has incorporated not only Fouc
 ault\, Heidegger and Lefebvre\, but also Doreen Massey\, David Harvey and 
 Nigel Thrift. Professor Elden has published work on many key spatial and p
 olitical theorists\, and has also looked at the evolution of concepts of t
 erritory and the relationship between sovereignty and the War on Terror.\n
