  thin film material scientist\, currently specialising in thin film superc
 onductors for quantum and fusion applications. She is a Daphne Jackson Res
 earch Fellow (sponsored by the Royal Society of Chemistry) in the Centre f
 or Applied Superconductivity at Oxford University\, Dean for E&D at Linacr
 e College and the Institute of Physics’ Representative to Council for In
 clusion and Diversity. \n\nShe sits on the Royal Society's Equality\, Dive
 rsity\, and Inclusion (EDI) committee. She won a Points of Light award for
  my volunteering from the Prime Minister in 2017 and Oxford University's f
 irst VC Diversity Role Model award in 2018. She was a speaker at TEDxLondo
 n Women in 2018 and was featured in three books aimed at highlighting LGBT
 I+ scientists (Science People\, Engineers Making a Difference\, A Year of 
 Pride and Joy and Rebel Girls Celebrate Pride). She is also a climber and 
 a board game/ D&D nerd.
