DESCRIPTION:The Secure Anonymised Information Linkage (SAIL) Databank is t
 he national trusted research environment (TRE) for Wales. Established in 2
 007\, it provides access within a secure platform to anonymised\, linkable
 \, population-scale data sources\, including health and social care\, admi
 nistrative\, demographic\, socio-economic and a variety of other national\
 , local and specialist services data. Professor Akbari will provide an ove
 rview of the SAIL Databank\, how potential researchers can access and use 
 SAIL\, how a TRE and linked data can be used in a multi-disciplinary team 
 to support research and improve services and people’s outcomes\, with ex
 amples from research projects and programmes who have or are using the SAI
 L Databank.
