DESCRIPTION:We will discuss a new construction of scalar-flat Kaehler metr
 ics on non-compact 4-manifolds. The construction gives a new perspective o
 n Gibbons-Hawking's gravitational instantons\, and allows us to write down
  new examples of complete scalar-flat Kaehler metrics on some important no
 n-compact toric varieties.  We will give some background on such metrics a
 nd show how symplectic geometry is well-suited to tackle them.  (Joint wor
