 oured' in Little Hall (Sidgwick Site) at 5.30 p.m. this Thursday\, 19th Ju
 ne to which all are most welcome.\n\nThe lecture forms the keynote of a wo
 rkshop on 'Critical Love Studies' but participation in the workshop is not
  a requirement for attendance at the lecture.\n\nMerve Emre is the Shapiro
 -Silverberg Professor of Creative Writing and Criticism and Director of th
 e Shapiro Center for Creative Writing and Criticism at Wesleyan University
 . She is a contributing writer at _The New Yorker_ and author of _Paralite
 rary: The Making of Bad Readers in Postwar America_ (2017)\, _The Personal
 ity Brokers_ (2018)\, and (with Sarah Chihaya\, Katherine Hill\, and Jill 
 Richards) _The Ferrante Letters_ (2019)\; Professor Emre is also editor of
  _Once and Future Feminist_ (2018)\, _The Annotated Mrs. Dalloway_ (2021)\
 , and _The Norton Modern Library Mrs. Dalloway_ (2021). Among her current 
 projects is a book entitled _Love and Other Useless Pursuits_ for Norton /
