DESCRIPTION:The seminar "Artificial Intelligence for Biomedical Imaging: M
icroscopy Applications and Challenges" will explore the integration of AI-
driven methods throughout the entire pipeline of label-free microscopy dat
a analysis—from preprocessing to the interpretation of single cells and
tissue structures. Particular focus will be given to brightfield (BF) and
phase contrast (PhC) imaging\, as well as advanced techniques such as inte
rferometry and ptychography. The talk will also address the role of explai
nable AI (XAI) in enhancing model transparency and interpretability\, enab
ling reliable extraction of biologically meaningful features and supportin
 g biomedical assessments.
LOCATION:Computer Laboratory\, William Gates Building\, Room FW26.
