DESCRIPTION:Actions of finite groups on algebraic curves I&rsquo\;ll talk 
 about steadied quotients of KLRW algebras\, generalizationsof cyclotomic q
 uotients where strands with different labels can be &ldquo\;pressured&rdqu
 o\; in opposite directions. Thesegive a new approach to understanding the 
 blocks of symmetric groups and their allied algebras (Ariki-Koike\,Schur\,
  etc.) up to Morita equivalence\, with a particular affinity to making Sco
 pes equivalences manifest\,and giving a preferred representative of each M
 orita equivalence class.\nBased on joint work with Dinushi Munasinghe.
