DESCRIPTION:The talk will discuss the relationship between partial traces
and their dilations for general complex matrices\, focusing on two main as
pects: the existence of (joint) dilations and norm inequalities relating p
artial traces and their dilations. Throughout\, particular attention will
be paid to rank constraints. We will prove the existence of joint dilation
s of any rank larger than one and generalize Audenaert's subadditivity ine
quality to encompass general matrices\, multiple tensor factors\, and diff
erent norms. A central ingredient for this is a novel majorization relatio
n for Kronecker sums. As an application\, we extend the interval of Werner
states in which they are provably 2-undistillable.
