DESCRIPTION:How can we image the geology on the boundary between the mantl
 e and core nearly 3000 km down?\nHow does the deep Earth shape our surface
 ?\nWhat do we know about our inner core?\n \nGlobal Seismology is the stud
 y of what lies within our planet using seismic waves. In my talk\, I will 
 give a brief introduction to seismic waves and seismological techniques\, 
 as well as a history of the field. I will take you on a journey to the cen
 tre of the planet\, highlight some of the mysterious features we observe. 
 If time permits\, I will touch on recent mission of a seismometer to Mars.
