DESCRIPTION:In this talk\, we review the recent developments in the applic
 ation of analytic bootstrap techniques to defect conformal field theories.
  We briefly outline some applications and we focus on 1/2 BPS surface defe
 cts in N=4 SYM theory (the most notable example being Gukov Witten defects
 ). We show how analytic bootstrap tools can be used to compute the hologra
 phic bulk two-point function.
