DESCRIPTION:Trees in the Mediterranean experience challenging environmenta
 l conditions that may be influenced by climatic or anthropogenic factors. 
  The variability of these environmental conditions is registered and prese
 rved in tree-rings.  This study demonstrates the potential of the Troodos 
 forests to further elucidate Cyprus’ environmental and anthropological h
 istories when dendrochronological results are utilized in conjunction with
  geological\, archaeological\, and historical evidence.
