 s are highly permeable to crustal fluids. However\, the permeability in ma
 ny breccias is quickly sealed by mineral cements. On other faults\, highly
  permeable open fissures along faults are filled by sedimentation. More ac
 curate characterisation of the wide range of fault breccias is crucial to 
 understanding their permeability history.
