DESCRIPTION:This talk presents an overview of my new book Natural Theology
: A Reassessment (Routledge 2025) which shows that the authoritative sourc
es of Christian theology affirm a traditional view of natural theology tha
t refers to what can be rationally believed about God without using religi
ous doctrines as premises. Contrary to popular misconceptions\, Hume and K
ant did not successfully rebut the arguments of natural theology\, which a
re still being defended today. This book develops a more rigorous deductiv
ely valid formulation of the Cosmological Argument for the existence of Go
d and shows how the truth of its premises can be defended\, thus demonstra
ting the soundness of this argument which shows that God exists. I shall e
xplain how various long-standing problems in epistemology of theology and
the god-of-the-gaps objection can be answered by my approach to Natural Th
 eology.
