DESCRIPTION:Data mining of usage data is a relatively new area for librari
es. During this seminar\, Dave will discuss some of the work carried out w
ith the library web catalogue at Huddersfield and the impact it has had on
the long term borrowing trends of students. Huddersfield has also used t
he data to analyse non- and low-usage of library services\, and to examine
the link between library usage and the final grades achieved by students.
Finally\, Dave will discuss why Huddersfield decided to begin releasing
aggregated usage data into the Public Domain.\n\n*About the Speaker:*\n\nD
