DESCRIPTION:As neutrino oscillation experiments enter a high-statistics er
a with the construction of DUNE and Hyper-Kamiokande\, achieving a precise
understanding of how neutrinos interact with matter is becoming increasin
gly crucial. In current long-baseline experiments such as T2K\, electron n
eutrino appearance is measured to produce constraints on the charge-parity
asymmetry in neutrino oscillations. Among the contributing channels\, cha
rged-current pion production\, although subdominant\, is an important proc
ess which has substantial implications on our oscillation results. This ta
lk will explore the significance of this channel and present brand new res
ults of a cross-section measurement of this process on a carbon target usi
ng the near detector of the T2K experiment\, ND280. \n\nThe corresponding
