DESCRIPTION:We review the theoretical modelling of mini black holes\, as m
 ight be\nproduced at the LHC.  We focus particularly on the semi-classical
 \nevaporation of the black hole via Hawking radiation\, but also review\nw
 hat is known about the classical production of mini black holes.  We\nwill
  also outline open questions.
