DESCRIPTION:I explore how cosmic microwave background (CMB) and baryon aco
ustic oscillation (BAO) measurements constrain cosmological models. The CM
B angular scale provides robust constraints on the ratio of sound horizon
to angular diameter distance\, limiting possible deviations from the stand
ard ΛCDM model. The null energy condition for a separate dark energy comp
onent imposes strict inequalities on BAO observables relative to ΛCDM pre
dictions\, restricting the freedom to fit new data within standard cosmolo
gical frameworks. I’ll discuss what this means for latest BAO results a
 nd other possible interpretations.
