DESCRIPTION:Jezz’s talk will concentrate on the planned archaeological i
 nvestigation\, including excavation\, to be undertaken in September 2025 a
 t Loch Achilty\, in Ross and Cromarty\, Highland\, Scotland.  Investigatio
 n will focus primarily on the Loch Achilty No.1 crannog\, believed from pr
 evious studies to be a medieval crannog\, as well two other possible subme
 rged targets which may also be crannogs.  The investigation is being led b
 y the North of Scotland Archaeological Society (NOSAS).  NOSAS has commiss
 ioned the NAS to undertake the underwater elements of the Loch Achilty inv
 estigation.
