DESCRIPTION:*This talk has been postponed until 30th April*\n\n*Abstract:*
Future display and imaging technology will influence many aspects of our
 life. They process large\, high-contrast\, high-resolution\, and full 3D i
mages. In particular\, the combination of real-time visualization and imag
e processing with models of human visual perception and adapted imaging an
d display optics enable a large variety of new applications. Today’s Sma
rtProjecting™ technology\, for example\, allows video projectors to disp
lay images on everyday surfaces and enables new experiences in entertainme
nt\, culture and art. Yet projectors are not only display devices. They al
so represent intelligent light sources that find applications in radiology
 \, endoscopy\, microscopy\, TV studios and film-sets. In this talk\, I wil
l present our past contribution and future direction in this field.
