DESCRIPTION:With recent technical breakthroughs\, nuclear fusion is transi
 tioning from government research to private enterprise.  Over 50 start-up 
 companies worldwide have recently raised\, collectively\, more than $10 bi
 llion in private capital. Investors include VC’s and energy companies\, 
 but also Google and Nvidia. Several of these start-up companies expect to 
 demonstrate net energy gain in the next two years\, and have begun to buil
 d powerplants of 400 MW scale. This seminar will profile the rapidly expan
 ding worldwide industry\, including technical approaches\, financing\, emp
