DESCRIPTION:These lectures will examine the means by which dramatists test
  the bodies of others for variously comic\, tragic\, traumatic and/or trau
 matising effects. \n\nThe lectures will be led by *Ian Burrows*\, author o
 f "Shakespeare for Snowflakes: On Slapstick and Sympathy":https://www.amaz

 the performer *Meg Lewis*. Together they will examine in detail some forms
  of dramatic coercion as practised inside and outside the theatre.\n\n_All
  are welcome. This lecture follows another given the previous day\, but it
  is not necessary to attend both. No prior knowledge of the texts discusse
 d and tested will be assumed. Both lectures will allow time for discussion
  and response at their conclusion._
