DESCRIPTION:Single-parameter capacity scaling in wireless networks under a
  specific uniform traffic pattern has been widely studied over the last de
 cade. In general networks\, however\, different users may generate traffic
  at widely different rates for destinations that are located at widely dif
 ferent distances. In this talk\, we discuss some recent results that obtai
 n scaling characterization under essentially arbitrary unicast/multicast t
 raffic patterns\, and thus determine the scaling of essentially the entire
  unicast/multicast capacity regions. (This talk is based on joint works wi
 th U. Niesen\, S. Subramanian\, D. Shah\, and S. Shakkottai.)
