DESCRIPTION:On Christmas Eve\, 1525\, Dr. Robert Barnes preached what is w
 idely regarded as the first sermon in England expressing openly Protestant
  views from the pulpit of St Edward\, King and Martyr\, in the centre of C
 ambridge. To commemorate this landmark event\, St. Edward's Church and Tri
 nity Hall will host a mini-symposium from 2-5pm on Saturday 6 Dec 2025. \n
 \nOur speakers will share with the audience their expertise as it pertains
  to questions such as (but not limited to) these:\n- What is the legacy of
  the Protestant Reformation\, and Christianity in general\, to civil socie
 ty?\n- Christianity and public good: essential\, irrelevant\, or detriment
 al?\n- How did Christianity influence the growth and dynamics of coloniali
 sm and liberal democracy?
