DESCRIPTION:What do we truly know about radio-loud AGN? The Cambridge radi
o surveys at MRAO in the 20th century have built a foundational catalogue
of the brightest radio sources in the sky and have transformed our underst
anding over the years on the nature of radio jets\, AGN life cycles\, and
high energy physics. However\, modern radio telescopes capable of deep\, s
ensitive imaging have revealed new features in radio AGN\, such as synchro
tron filaments\, tails and exotic particle acceleration. I present my on-g
oing work on high dynamic range imaging of radio AGN from the Cambridge ra
dio catalogues (3CRR)\, revealing new insights into the physics of these
 important objects.
