DESCRIPTION:This talk looks at the philosophical problem of why we have em
 otional responses to fictional artworks. In addition to discussing some pr
 ominent philosophical accounts\, I will outline some of the recent psychol
 ogical research on the nature of emotions\, and assess the idea that there
  may be a distinctive class of ‘aesthetic emotions’.\n\n
