DESCRIPTION:The Bayesian brain hypothesis proposes that the brain acts as
an inference machine\, updating its model of the world by combining predic
tions with sensory data. The talk briefly describes the basis of the theor
y\, some closely related extensions of the model like active inference\, p
redictive coding and the free energy principle. It goes on to relate these
  concepts to emotion and psychopathology.
