SUMMARY:Emergent physics in atomically thin semiconductors - Atac Imamoglu

DESCRIPTION:When two atomically thin semiconductor layers are stacked with
a twist\, interaction between electrons become dominant over their kineti
c energy. Such a system provides a fertile ground for investigation of new
physics\, such as magnetism with kinetic origin or quantum Hall states in
the absence of a magnetic field.
