DESCRIPTION:High-performance computing is becoming increasingly heterogene
 ous\, from the spread of different GPU families\, to the rise of new speci
 alised accelerators\, in particular related to the machine learning domain
 .\n\nIn this talk we will cover some of the tools available to do high-per
 formance computing with the Julia programming language: from distributed c
 omputing with MPI\, to accelerating numerical code on GPUs\, with particul
 ar focus on vendor-agnostic solutions such as KernelAbstractions.jl\, to e
 nsure portability. We will also show some real-world scientific software w
 hich successfully employed the Julia language to scale their applications 
 up to hundreds of computing nodes and/or GPUs. Finally\, we'll have a brie
 f look at the development of recent and experimental Julia tools in the ar
 ea of specialised accelerators.
