DESCRIPTION:Internet voting - or at least the possibility of Internet voti
 ng - is\non the lips of legislators and election officials across the US a
 nd\naround the world\, including in the UK.  But what does Internet\nvotin
 g really mean - is it registering online\, requesting a ballot \nonline\, 
 printing a blank ballot online\, or casting your vote online? \nWill Inter
 net voting really save money and increase participation?  \nWhat are the r
 isks of voting online\, and how can we mitigate those \nrisks?  How does i
 dentity validation relate to Internet voting?  What \ncan we learn from ot
 her technologies that have moved online?  How \ndo we (and should we) answ
 er the frequently asked question 'if I \ncan bank online and shop online\,
  why can't I vote online'?  This \ntalk will address these questions and m
 ore on one of the hottest \ntopics at the intersection of technology and p
 ublic policy.
