DESCRIPTION:Chris Williamson is the Founding Partner of Weston Williamson\
 , established in London in 1985\, and he has developed a specialism in the
  design of safe\, efficient\, beautiful urban transport.\n\nChris was the 
 Project Partner for the London Bridge Jubilee Line Station 1990-1999 and h
 as since worked on similar city shaping transport projects in London\, Per
 th\, Sydney\, Melbourne\, Dubai\, Singapore\, Malaysia\, Toronto\, and Sau
 di Arabia. Most recently\, Chris worked on the two award-winning Elizabeth
  Line stations\, Paddington and Woolwich. In addition to being an architec
 t\, Chris is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute having complete
 d an MA in Urban Design.  Chris is also a member of the Association of Pro
 ject Managers having completed an MSc in Project Management.  Chris was aw
 arded an Honorary Doctorate in Architecture from the University of East Lo
 ndon in 2024 and will take up the post as President of the Royal Institute
  of British Architects from September 2025 to September 2027. Chris also t
 eaches at several universities and mentors young architects. Chris ran a p
 rogramme at the London School of Architecture in 2024 studying the benefit
 s of hand crafted locally sourced traditional building methods as a contra
 st to the general direction of the construction industry.
