DESCRIPTION:Our 2026 Annual Lecture will be delivered by Professor Jennife
 r Rubin\, former Chief Scientific Adviser and Director General\, Science\,
  Technology\, Analysis and Research (STAR)\, Home Office\; and Chair of th
 e King’s School for Government Advisory Board.\n\nProfessor Jennifer Rub
 in served as the Home Office Chief Scientific Adviser from January 2021 to
  December 2025. Before joining the Home Office Professor Rubin was the Exe
 cutive Chair of the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC)\, the UK
 ’s largest funder of economic and social research. Previously\, Professo
 r Rubin was Director of the Policy Institute at King’s College London\, 
 where she remains a professor.
